This service immediately leads to fewer puppies and kittens entering the shelter system and allows more resources to be allocated to lifesaving. S.N.I.P Clinic (Kentucky Humane Society)
Since 2007, Kentucky Humane Society's S.N.I.P. Clinic (Spay Neuter Incentive Program) has spayed & neutered over 25,000 dogs and cats. They provide low-cost, high volume spay/neuter services 4 days a week.
Fees:
$74-Female Dog
$52-Male Dog
$52-Female Cat
$42-Male Cat

Mary Gaylord McClean Clinic (Shelby County Humane Society)
Mary Gaylord McClean Clinic (Shelby County Humane Society)
The Mary Gaylord McClean Clinic is located in Shelbyville, KY but accepts pets from ALL counties! This is a new clinic, opened in July 2010.
Fees:
- $75 female dog spay (additional $20 for pets over 60 pounds)
- $65 male dog neuter (additional $20 for pets over 60 pounds)
- $45 female cat spay
- $25 male cat neuter

- The Mary Gaylord McClean Clinic is currently only open on Tuesdays. Appointments are required for spay/neuter surgeries, but walk-ins are welcome for vaccinations every Tuesday from 11am-3pm.

Alley Cat Advocates
Alley Cat Advocates provides spay/neuter assistance to feral/unowned cats in Louisville. This organization has spayed/neutered over 17,000 cats over the last 10 years. Their services are highly sought after, and they have a significant waiting list.
Alley Cat Advocates offers two options (click each link below for more information):
Humane Society of Oldham County
Humane Society of Oldham County
Humane Society of Oldham County (HSOC) holds monthly clinics to assist local residents who cannot afford regular veterinary care.
Fees:
- $58 female cat spay
- $48 male cat neuter
- $68 female dog spay
- $58 male dog neuter
- For dogs 45-55 pounds, add $10, 55-75 pounds, add $20
- Vaccinations are included in pricing
- If bringing in multiple animals (such as bunches of barn or colony cats), HSOC will work with owners on pricing. They also have some grant funds available to owners who might need a discount on the pricing.
